HELLO KITTY airline!
Not many people have heard of Eva Air, the Taiwanese airline which operates between Taipei, Europe, America and the rest of Asia.
But the overlooked carrier is aiming to change all that with a little help from Japanese cartoon character Kitty White.
The instantly recognisable Hello Kitty cartoon has been daubed across three of Eva Air's planes, but that is not the only homage to the feline. She will also great passengers at check-in stations and even appear on soap dispensers, as ice cream and on tissues, paper cups and utensils.

BILL CUNNINGHAM New York
THIS IS A MUST SEE!!!
ABOUT THE FILM
“We all get dressed for Bill,” says Vogue editrix Anna Wintour.
The “Bill” in question is 80+ New York Times photographer Bill Cunningham. For decades, this Schwinn-riding cultural anthropologist has been obsessively and inventively chronicling fashion trends and high society charity soirĂ©es for the Times Style section in his columns “On the Street” and “Evening Hours.” Documenting uptown fixtures (Wintour, Tom Wolfe, Brooke Astor, David Rockefeller—who all appear in the film out of their love for Bill), downtown eccentrics and everyone in between, Cunningham’s enormous body of work is more reliable than any catwalk as an expression of time, place and individual flair. In turn, Bill Cunningham New York is a delicate, funny and often poignant portrait of a dedicated artist whose only wealth is his own humanity and unassuming grace.
happy birthday, jean paul gaultier!
From cone bras to men in skirts, you’ve made musicians into style icons and kept fashion weird with gender-bending sexuality for 36 years.
It’s safe to say no one else could create an Amy Winehouse tribute collection, or establish a couture house while dressing Marilyn Manson (and all without formal design training!).
When homogenous fads and celebs on the red carpet threaten to make us all look the same, you’re there to remind us all to throw on a corset every once in awhile.
As far as we’re concerned, age is just a number.
Just one question:
Will your cake be torso shaped (have your cake and be it, too?)?
